-
How should I prepare my hair before my appointment?
Please arrive with your hair clean, detangled, and blown out (stretched) to make the braiding process smoother and faster. Avoid heavy oils, creams, or products before your appointment. If you’re unsure how to prep, shampoo and condition your hair, then gently blow-dry it so it’s ready for braiding.
-
How should I care for my braids at home?
To keep your braids looking fresh, wrap your hair with a silk or satin scarf or bonnet at night to reduce frizz. You can also use a satin pillowcase for extra protection. Keep your scalp moisturized with a light oil or braid spray 2–3 times a week to prevent dryness and itching. Avoid heavy products that cause buildup. If needed, gently cleanse your scalp with diluted shampoo or dry shampoo to keep it clean without disturbing your braids.

A deposit is required to secure your appointment and is non-refundable. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify me at least 24–48 hours in advance. Same-day cancellations or no-shows will forfeit the deposit, and a new deposit will be required to book again.

-
When should I take my braids down to avoid damage?
It’s best to take your braids down after 6-8 weeks. Leaving them in longer can cause buildup, tangling, and stress on your natural hair, which may lead to breakage. Pay attention to your new growth—if your braids start to feel heavy or your roots look matted, it’s time to remove them for the health of your hair and scalp.
